Open Collaboration Platform

Kablink and iFolder are open source projects sponsored by Novell. Novell has a long history of improving the productivity of knowledge workers using tools like email, file sharing, and IM. The Open Collaboration Platform is sponsored by Novell and formed around the notion that great team productivity software can be designed and written as open source projects. These projects allow community members to not only use the software for free but to enhance it specifically for their own environments.

Kablink

Kablink was formerly named ICEcore and was originally developed by SiteScape, Inc in Maynard, MA as an open source project licensed under the Common Public Attribution License (CPAL). The origins of ICEcore date back to AltaVista and the original product called AltaVista Forum. Many iterations and rewrites later we have Kablink. With Kablink Teaming and Kablink Conferencing users have a full featured open source project that offers a robust suite of functionality to increase team productivity and communication. iFolder

iFolder is an open source application intended to allow cross-platform file sharing across computer networks and now features the ability to share these files within a team. iFolder was originally started in 2001 and has also seem many releases leading up to the current version of iFolder that is considered to be very mature and stable. iFolder runs on the Mono platform also sponsored by Novell.
